Yes I agree - but it would be a great deal better if UKIP would change in a way that gave some hope that it could win seats at Westminster.

I entirely agree, but there have been oodles of postings here previously, where scepticism has been expressed about whether EDP members' opposition to the EU is genuine!

This is one of the main reasons why I left politics in general.
The nationalist parties are divided and ruled politicaly, which is a shame for the nationalist public.
The only quick way forward to get nationalist parties into power and to help save England and Britain for that matter, is for them to stop being divided by what they don’t agree on, and start being united by what they do agree on.
Sadly, politicaly, I really don't see this hapenning.
Just look at the attacks on each nationalist parties by each other, this is not a sign that these parties will join forces in any way shape or form.

I wonder if I am alone in becoming absolutely fed up with the hijacking of this forum by so-called 'English Democrats' peddling their propaganda of supposed defections by members of UKIP?

Their strategy is similar to the attempts of Lord Haw-Haw during WWII to sap our morale with extravagant stories of failure. Back then, the people of Britain treated him utter disdain and derision. We should do the same!

Is UKIP a *nationalist* party?

Support for Globalism doesn't usually equate to a *nationalist* outlook.

If the leaders are not prepared to do as B and E says you have to assume they are working to a different agenda to that of the members.

Guys
The whole leadership of the Eng Dems and many of the party are anti EU and we oppose the way this government has taken us down the EU road without any form of referendum or people's vote - funny how it's not too disimilar to what Nu Labour did with devolution and how good ole England has had regionals forced upon us.
We do however owe it to the people of England to decide as this is what is called being democratic.

It is far too nationalist in my book. I say that because of its stance on immigration and its rhetoric about a number of other issues.

I don't see what you mean by support for globalism. Do you mean principally free trade? To me that is the opposite of (political) globalism, since it involves free competition between states and businesses.

It would be helpful for you to say what you see as constituting globalism in this context. Apologies if you have done this before and I have not seen it.

Thumbs up

I think it's all down to branding

"English" is simply a much better brand then "UK"

Show me your evidence that English buys you anything. The last time I looked, you were having your arses handed to you by the OMRLP.

BTW I don't think UK buys you anything either.
