Default Boris of Henley

The Tories wanted a spoiler story, so came out with this unlikely one.

It worked - got the headlines - I wonder what the Tories were trying to conceal ... another "Cameron and drugs" story?

Surely not a spoiler story to stop the Evening Standard putting Garry Bushell formally announcing his candidacy on the front page?

I'm going to offend every student body in England by saying that I think Boris Johnson is a bumbling, incompetent plank who has achieved all he has in politics through crafty Etonian networking, family influence and staged foolery.

Whilst I also accept he has many talents, possesses a keen intellectual intelligence and is excellent for television as well as other higher forms of literature he is not suited for politics, serious politics anyway, and serves only to provide the Conservative party with a public and affable face that serves only to distract from real issues.

But that's why we love him!

Yes well, according to folks in the North East, every Tory is a prick.

Not so, as far as I am aware anyway.

I'm sure the Tories are still working toward that image though.

I think it would be a very boring place (the House of Commons that is) if every member was a chiseling little political apparatchik. If one of these is on the ballot paper in Solihull, forget it! 8)
