Default Ian Paisley Jnr stands firm

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/northern_ireland/6228946.stm

The Junior minister in the Northern Ireland assmembly refuses to apoligise for reamrks made about homosexual actitivity last month.

Mr Pailsey stated clearly that he found the behvaiour (sexual) of homosexuals repulsive but this was not to say he hated gay people, there is no evidence that he in the course of his dutys as a minister of the crown has victimised or discrimnated agaisnt anyone on the grounds of there sexual prefrences.

So I say well done for holding your ground, people are entitled to express personal views in this country, it is called free speach.

Fair play. Just because you don't like something, doesn't make you bad.

Can't say I enjoy seeing two blokes kissing, nevermind more.

If that's what floats their boat then fine, I don't have to watch.

Yes I think that is right, he has not as far as we know allowed his personal view to interfere with the way he conducts himself at work so should be left alone.

Try telling that to all the PCs who get kicked out of the job for personal remarks made in private, yet remain impartial on duty. No wander the CPA (Christian Police Association) really isn't up to much anymore.

I was expressing a view on how things should be, sadly as you state quite clearly things are not like this, I personally dont have a lot of time for our police for personal reasons but if this is happening as you say then i think it is deplorable.

Shame he doesn't object to working with anti-British terrorists.

My ex military pals in NI tell me they are all still for the Union and Monarchy, regardless of what old mother Paisley has done in the last month or two.

They are not happy campers after all these years of supporting him through thick and thin.

Cant say I blame them either.

Roll on the twelfth of July as it could see some fireworks I think in Belfast.
