Default Block with office of Labour Chairman Hazel Blears caves in

BBC 1 Television Ceefax reports (on analogue page 107) that the building which houses the office of Labour Party Chairman Hazel Blears MP (a candidate for the party's Deputy Leadership) has collapsed.

The building at Dean Farrar Street in Westminster, London, was being renovated. An emergency call was put out at 4.04 pm.

One person has been injured and another is trapped after the top two floors of the five-story building caved in. None of Mrs. Blear's staff have been harmed in the incident.
