This is complete nonsense, IMO.

The language of the BNP is 'don't let any immigrants in, or asylum seekers' and 'offer repatriation to those already here with a financial incentive.'

'We must have limits on immigration' is not BNP language.

'We must not have a situation where people born in this country cannot get housing because newly arrrived immigrants have been given it' is not BNP language.

The welfare state, the NHS and council housing are there for British people not for the whole world. They are paid for by British people, not the whole world.

Hodge is in a difficult position because her own Party has allowed illegal immigrants to stay here instead of deporting them.

Johnson is a prize prat and trying to appeal to those of lower intelligence in his party, presumably to try and garner votes for his deputy leadership bid. But with statements of that incredible level of stupidity he should be barred from holding any public office for life.

Default Mr. Michael Portillo, former Conservative MP, housing

Former Conservative MP Michael Portillo seemed to suggest last night (on Andrew Neil's 'This Week' programme on BBC 1 Television) that letting those who have been on the housing waiting lists the longest (and those who had lived here for many decades) have priority in the allocation of public housing over recent arrivals was not an extreme thing to say.

Ah, but that would be logical and totally alien to the lefty fruitbats that have decided it is better to give houses to those most recently joining the queue.
It's all to do with undermining the British identity by showing that foreigners, especially illegals, deserve better treatment than the rest of us.

Actually, there is a Logic.
It's about getting these newcomers to Vote for the right party when the time comes.

I can't think of one single country in the world - apart from our own - that appears to allow such a thing (letting non-British citizens take public housing ahead of natives who have been on waiting lists for decades in some cases).

This must be stopped.

A proportion of the people who have been on UK local authority housing waiting lists for many years came here from overseas (and are now British subjects) and I would suggest are pretty angry that some recent arrivals are getting priority over them.

My opinion of him - already not high - has gone down substantially this week.

And I agree that the Deputy Leadership (of the Labour Party) job is very much on his mind and is influencing what he says.

So you think that the strategy of Blair's Lie-bour Party might be to replace the votes they lose from 'traditional Labour voters' with the votes of people who haven't been in our country for long but who have got housing and benefits thanks to the Labour regime in power nationally and/or from Labour councils?

This is from today's Newsnight email

Quote:
FROM GAVIN ESLER

Hello,
Today's Quote for the Day:

"Russia, a country where you never hear of the gangsters of the Russian Mafia any more. Why? Because they are now all in office." - Best-selling writer Frederick Forsyth.

In tonight's programme:

Immigration

A clear majority of British people have told a BBC opinion poll that they agree with the Trade and Industry Minister Margaret Hodge in her controversial comments about immigration. She said "British citizens should always get priority for social housing ahead of immigrant families." Her Labour colleague the Education Secretary Alan Johnson accused Ms Hodge of using the language "of the BNP."

Newsnight's Paul Mason has been hearing the views from the heartland of England - Nottinghamshire - about immigration, and we'll debate the issue with the Labour MP Keith Vaz and the leader of the BNP, Nick Griffin.
Should be interesting viewing!
