Default Join eurozone or else

Not sure if this is the best sub forum for this but whilst reading up on the nuclear stuff, I found this in the telegraph:-

Honda tells UK: Join eurozone or else
By Ambrose Evans-Pritchard, in Tokyo
Last Updated: 11:07am BST 24/05/2007

Honda's president Takeo Fukui has threatened to cut off future investment in Britain unless the country joins the euro, admitting that the Japanese car producer had made an "error" building its car plant in Swindon. There's lots more ....

Wait...

A Japanese car salesman tells the British government to hand over even more power to a foreign body and nobody speaks out?

Our country has become a joke.

As I wrote elsewhere, I wonder how the Japanese man from Honda who allegedly made the pro-euro remarks would feel if an English businessman told him that the people of Japan should get rid of the Yen and switch to using the national currency of China instead.

I should imagine that the Honda man would not be too pleased at the suggestion.

In any case, I have heard of Japanese investors in the UK saying that they are quite happy to invest in a country not in the euro.

I bet he wont stop selling cars in the UK though...

I also bet if corporation tax was lowered and industry de-regulated he would change his tune.
