It amazes me that there are still people about who think Labour is worth backing, they must must know something I don't!

Or perhaps they believed Bliar when he said:
"Don't worry, it will all blow over, your knighthood/peerage is safe with me!"

Default UKIP, Labour, Liberal Dims, donations

I notice the BBC report (on the link in the first posting to this thread) says that UKIP got over £100, 000 in donations and that the amount given to the europhile Liberal Dims halved  .

As for not understanding how people can still give money to Labour (see posting from Kernow, above) - it may be that the majority of donations to it are from trade unions.

Hmm, not so likely for two reasons:
1. The unions have little money, hence looking to merge with overseas unions.
2. Liebour have done them no favours over the last 10 years.

During the first three months of this year Labour cut its borrowing by £3.23m and the Lib Dems by £8,450.
Looks like the MPs will have to get their bikes out now that Ming has sold the party minibus!

You obviously don't know much about party political donations - Labour have received millions from trade unions since Blair got in.

The unions typically give Labour around £8million a year. Here we are talking about £5 million in 3 months! That isn't union money that is making up the difference. They also reduced their borrowing by £3.2 million, that again is not going to have been union money.
Don't be so bolshy Brit.

I'm not. I know for a fact that the biggest single source of money Labour gets over a 12 month period is from the trade unions. I don't suppose the union money given to Labour is spread out into 12 monthly intalments.

Of course they are the biggest SINGLE source, they always have been.
Why shouldn't they give it in monthly installments? They get their membership contributions either weekly or monthly.
