Ah, but this provides a greedy government with the opportunity to tax the population even more! They won't pass up on it if they can generate extra revenue in the name of 'saving the environment' as well as decongesting the roads.

I agree.
yes thats right Ian, I dont drive myself and whilst the railways have improved from my perspective a little bit the public transport system as a whole is still a disgrace.
