Default 'Tony Bliar may be about to join Roman Catholic Church'

As a Roman Catholic I am concerned about a report that the discredited political opportunist 'Tony' Bliar may be about to join the Roman Catholic (RC) Church  .

Obviously, this is the last thing that most of the congregation of the RC Church of England and Wales want.

If it is true that he wants to join the RC Church it is just further evidence that this man Bliar has got a real nerve - he totally ignored Roman Catholic opinion over the adoption issue recently and has done nothing to fight the horror that is abortion (abortion being something that the RC Church rightly opposes).

Only the other day, The Pope said that those RC politicians who backed abortion are not worthy Catholics.

Letting Bliar into the RC Church is the last thing that any RC person wants - it would tarnish the RC Church having Bliar among its ranks.

Apart from anything else, he has led the UK into a number of conflicts unnecessarily - and his political reputation stinks. He is well known as a liar. We do not want this man in the RC Church. I don't suppose many Anglicans want him in their Church either. And who can blame them.

The report claiming Bliar may join the RC Church was in yesterday's Mail and can be read here:

I can well understand your concern given that Blair has launched a hideous attack on christian values.

We can all remmember his vulgar mouthpiece Alastiar Campbell saying 'we dont do God' at Number 10.

But at every opportunity Blair has used his faith to make him seem like a nice guy whilst continually eroding the freedom of Christians

Default Blair, Roman Catholic Church

If this report is true (that Bliar may be about to try and join the Roman Catholic Church) I shall be among those protesting to the powers that be.

This has to be stopped. Having him in the Roman Catholic (RC) Church would do enormous damage to the worldwide image of the RC Church.

Default Blair, 'New' Labour, members leaving

Yes, that's a very valid point.

And it could well then go the same way as Blair's 'New' Labour has since 1997 - half the membership leaving it over ten years.

We all share freedoms, and the erosion of freedom to any particular group of society is the erosion of freedom to all society.

Well, the churches world wide figures have been in decline for a while now, however, they did increase recently.
