People say that Gordon Brown Has been a tremendous Chancellor, he has stolen billions from our pension funds and ruined our retirements, taxed us to unprecedented levels with stealth taxes, sold our gold reserves too cheaply, wasted millions on Africa,Robbed us of our inheritances, If he does that half as well as he's run the economy it will be the most disasterous Premierships in British History. NOBODY wants him as PM!! Give the people a chance to have a say, give us an ELECTION NOW !!

Sadly there is no viable alternative. He's been a far worse chancellor than even cynical old me expected, stealth taxing, making everything incredibly complicated, bamboozling us with reams of figures, robbing people of their hard-earned pensions etc. Prudence? I don't think so! My 19 year old daughter summed it up for me after watching the last budget, she said "That man's policies have shafted my entire generation" except she used a ruder word... She's right. He's not fit for the job.

Absolutely not, he's been, and will be a disaster for the UK. His economic prowess is a myth.
Public finances in 1997 were in the best shape since 1922. Now they are a mess, despite his supposed fabulous stewardship.
He talk of "investment", but he doesn't know the difference between investment and unreformed left wing wastefulness
Destroyed our pension funds, sold our gold. Disappears when there are tough questions to be answered.
We need a general election.

Without sounding like a typical politician, but this is not the right question.
Gordon Brown WILL be the new Labour leader and thus "become" our new PM.
The right question is "should this happen?"
When he does become PM he will have NO MANDATE to govern either Scotland or England.
His party are now a minority party in Scotland & in England more people voted Tory at the recent local elections AND @ the last General Election.
How on Earth can he now be Prime Minister?
NO MANDATE!

Well we dont really have much say in it do we? I feel like Brown has been snuck in through the back door. The public dont really 'know' Brown like we know Blair, we dont know his personality, his policies, and how he deals with things.
Its not legally obliged, but not calling a general election is morally wrong, in my eyes.

There is absolutely no-one in the Labour party fit to lead this country. We need to demand a general election when Blair steps down. Brown doesn't deserve a free run at the role of Prime Minister.

He's certainly not the right choice for me. As a single person with no children I can't afford for him to be PM (or Chancellor) - I'm almost taxed out of existence as it is.
I know of many people on benefits who have a disposable income higher than mine and who have no intention of working as they get EVERYTHING provided - for nothing - and they get plenty of it.
Labour - ironically, is now for the NOT working class, the career unemployed and the wasters.

What a shame the people can't get their act together at elections and get something approaching reasonable in place.
Maybe they don't really have a say.
