With more and more people coming to live in Britain from Foreign lands plus the increased population who were born here but who's immediate family ancestral roots are a long way from Britain both in miles and culture, then it is no wonder that British tradition is disappearing!

Default Trooping of the Colour, The Queen's Christmas Day broadcast

There are things in this survey (referred to in the report on the link in the first posting to this thread) that I can't accept as being accurate.

I simply do not believe that people would not mind if a great event such as Trooping of the Colour disappeared.

People may not watch The Queen's Christmas Day Speech on television in quite the numbers they used to - but that does not mean any less support for her. Most television programmes now get fewer viewers than twenty years ago.
