Lets face it if Labour want to win the next election they need to hold it soon whilst Brown still looks like he has "potential"! People pay astronomical amounts of money buying unraced Yearling Thoroughbred horses, because they are paying for potential ability! Once raced the vast majority turn out to be useless and their value plummets, but the few that are successful are worth 20 times the amount they sold for at the yearling sales!
By holding an election soon they probably have more chance of winning, than if they wait and risk exposing Brown as a useless leader! |

Labour can win the next General Election even if they are 3% behind the Conservatives in the national vote share. This is because of the way the constituency boundaries are drawn and because much of the increase in Conservative support is occuring in seats which the Conservative Party already holds.
The latest opinion poll (by YouGov in yesterday's Sunday Times) shows that Labour support has increased to 34% - 4% behind the Cameron-led Conservatives. |
