Does anybody know if the IWCA are contesting elections anywhere. They don't seem to be, and their website hasn't been updated for a few months.
Oxford isn't up for election this year. |

At first I clicked on this by accident after 'googling' them:
http://www.iwca.org/ I then clicked on this: http://www.iwca.info/ They sound more like something you read about on a poster at a community centre, they don't sound like a political party, more a neighbourhood watch assocation type of thing. It seems nothing's been updated since last year. Membership is open to all 'working class' people, which sounds quite difficult to detemine, it must come down to the individual to work that one out. Whilst a group that wouldn't attract my vote, nor suit some of my politics, I do think this is a genuine group born out of New Labour's adoption of Thatcherite policies and economics. |

They do appear genuine to me. Clause 4 types. But not willing to follow the Nellists, Scargills, or Galloways of this world!
A bit like Michael Meadowcroft going off and forming the Liberal Party Mark 6! |
