Think they might just find a shortage of doctors if they do, probably have to start shipping more in from overseas who are prepared to.

If they knew that it might be part of their job when they started training and I would suggest most if not all would be aware of that fact then it's a bit late to start whining now - get on with it or do something else.

If they wish to change the system by all means campaign but do what you signed up for while it is still legal.

As the article says though there has always been accepted that there will be consicentious objectors but it is also a matter of doctors prefering not to specialsie in this field.

So the problem is in fact twofold, do we stop people becoming doctors becuase they feel strongly about this issue?

No. I'm sorry but you cannot force a doctor to provide treatment of this sort. Just like you can't force nurses to treat a drunkard who's harassing them.

All public services carry exemptions - doctors are no different. If you really want an abortion, go private.

Nobody has yet to tell me what the benefit is for the child in the womb either.

This is a key problem with the abortion issue, the ngatives notably the effect it can have on women are often totally ignored.
