Default Outrage over Navy 'cuts'

http://www.epolitix.com/EN/News/2007...9d742b88f2.htm

Quote:
Plans to mothball nearly half of the Royal Navy's fleet have caused uproar among its senior officers.

The leaked proposals emerged from an internal review of military spending being carried out by each of the armed services to cut expenditure as part of this year's comprehensive spending review.

How much more do people need to see, before they realise the gameplan?

Destroy Britain and merge the pathetic pieces into the EUSSR.

Default UKIP should be the party of the armed forces

Labour hate the British armed forces and always have done.

No one who serves in the army, RAF or Royal Navy should even think of voting Labour.

UKIP should be the pro-armed forces party - many votes to be had from these good, brave and decent folk who serve our land in the most difficult and dangerous of circumstances.

The fact we only have an active fleet of 44 ships disgusts me, the fact they want to half that figure is beyond words.

We are in desperate need of several large aircraft carriers and a few assault ships.
What will UKIP do about this?

Absolutely spot on. I fuly agree, and in fact we should run with a policy of a larger armed forces - not necessarly for defence reasons, but also for maintaining an R&D and technological infrastructure, plus the benefits that serving in the forces gives in terms of self confidence, interpersonal skills, and technical skills if in a 'trade'.

We are in the hands of Communists, our outlook can only get worse with each month that passes us by.

The rate of demolition of our Country can only be described as being at breakneck speed.

Something in our favour has to break soon,or else.

Yes, alot of 'new' Labour are communists. The fact that they wear suits and have smartened themselves up in the last decade or so doesn't fool me.

Livingstone, Benn and other far left people seem to have reduced their criticism of the Labour party leadership of late. Obviously with the destruction of our armed forces, transfers of sovereignty and more British money to the EU and UK public spending now higher than in Germany (a bigger country) the authoritarian socialist left are reasonably pleased with the way things are going  .

Default Armed forces could be used to patrol UK fishing waters

Thank you for your agreement, C-Steam.

We could also use our armed forces to increase (substantially) patrols of UK fishing waters when we finally get out of the EU Common Fisheries Policy. Just to make sure that fishing boats from EU nations keep out. A new fishing water defence force (bigger than the one we have now) could be set up. And it could be used to keep out foreign (i.e. boats from EU nations) - not to stop British fishermen from fishing UK waters (as at present).

I understood that the Royaal Navy had already been cut to the bone, to the extent that it was difficult for it to meet its commitments. I can't believe they are going to get rid of half of what remains. This is insane!

Its not insane I'm afraid, its treacherous to do this.

By exposing the country to possible overthrow and attack, from many of those within, or external forces, this decision, along with opening up the borders puts us at the mercy of many.

The destruction of our Military and defences should show the World we are going down faster, day by day, things are approaching a truly critical point.

The Communist European Union with the help of this Labour Government and its Three Party LibLabCon Alliance are hell bent on a final cutting act thus finishing the Country BEFORE Bliar goes, not after.

Think about it,now we know why he always has that grin on his treacherous face of late.
