Default Lib Dims fall again in new poll - Tory vote same as year ago

The europhile Liberal Dims have slumped in the latest poll of polls published by the pro-EU ‘Independent’ newspaper :P  . They are 2% down on the same poll last January  . Another poll recently put the Dim Libs on 14% - one of their worst opinion poll ratings in recent years  .

The Cameron-led Conservative Party is stuck on 37% - the same share of the national vote that they obtained in the same ‘Independent poll of polls’ exactly a year ago (says yesterday’s Independent newspaper). Pro-EU and anti-UKIP David Cameron became Conservative leader in December 2005.

If the voting figures in yesterday’s Independent poll of polls were repeated in a General Election, Labour would be the largest party despite having a smaller share of the national vote than the Conservatives (because of the way constituency boundaries are drawn) and Sir Menzies Campbell’s Fiberal Dims would lose 20 of its seats  in the Commons.

Campbell has been a damp squib - a disaster for the Lib Dems at a time when some of their more cowardly members may consider voting for the traitor CA Moron.

Time to knife Ming and hand the party over to Clegg or some other competent leader.

What they haven't mentioned is that "others" are on 13%. 8)

Default Biased pro-EU media desperate to avoid naming small parties

I wonder at what point they (the press, television and radio) will stop referring to 'others' (or just ignoring them as television reports do)? Will they still be avoiding mentioning 'others' when it gets to 25% or 30% of the national vote (and when a further 40% are not voting at all)?

The trend with most newspapers is to take out the 'don't knows' and just mention the shares of the votes (pledges) for Labour/Conservative/Dim Libs. I expect they'll just remove 'others' as well if support for 'others' gets too high - and just mention Lab/Cons./LD and totally ignore the embarrassing fact that nearly half of all those on the electoral registers are either not voting or are part of 'others'.

While a newspaper can get away with doing this (and most of them are europhile and will avoid mentioning 'others' but it is made up in a large part with support/pledges for/to anti-EU parties) - the broadcasters (television/radio) should be told the leader of UKIP that unless they start quoting support for UKIP and naming UKIP when they report on the results of opinion polls then the party might take legal action against them for bias and breach of rules on impartiality.

'Others' (at 13% in one of the most recent opinion polls) is nearly as high as total support for the Liberal Dims (14% in the last but one poll). It would be absurd if the biased pro-EU media we have in this country stuck to referring to support for UKIP/BNP/Greens/SNP/Welsh Nationalists/English Democrats/Ulster Unionists/SDLP/Scottish Socialist Party/Respect as 'Others' when the combined electoral strength of all these parties almost matched projected support/pledges for the europhile Liberal Dims.

By that point, the readership for those papers will be so low they'll struggle to make money as people get fed up of the obvious cash-orientated bias and opt for other publications.

Yes, I know a few people who don't buy newspapers. Some look for news on the net instead - others don't bother with either .
