The length of time our oil reserves will last depends on many factors. It depends on how our consumption changes and how much Brown's taxes depress production of oil fields in the north sea.

We won't even need oil in 150 years. That's why all the politicians are taking the **** in anyway they can now. They are making the most of their last chance to fleece the sheeple with it.

I was pleased and intrigued to hear the other day on the radio that someone has invented and built an electric car which can travel at high speed (unlike previous electric models which do about 15 mph).

This is an important development because it (hopefully) sharply reduces the chances of a situation whereby we have no fuel/energy to run vehicles when oil/gas/petrol/diesel finally does run out.

I also read something a couple of months ago which said the Japanese had made progress in research on an electric-operated aircraft.

If we can invent motor vehicles and aircraft for the post-oil era, this will be real progress.

Human beings are not even scraping the surface of possibilities yet. Even with the techonolgy we are discovering now, such as nano-tech, genetic modification, etc there will be so many possibilites that we never dreamed of very soon.

That's another reason why this whole climate change crapola is a fraud. Burning fossil fuels is coming to the end anyway, but the scum in power (note not necessaraly government) know this. Anything we do now is a complete and total waste of time, however you look at it.

It keeps the sheeple occupied though and makes for a great raping stick.
