Default No 10 launches online petitions

http://newsvote.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/6147842.stm

Quote:
People can now petition Tony Blair online using the official Downing Street website.
Number 10 says campaigners and groups will be able to "reach greater numbers than ever before".

"E-petitions" submitted so far cover nuclear weapons, taxes on light bulbs and reforms to copyright laws.

A Downing Street spokeswoman said "party political" issues would not be included, or petitions containing obscene language or libels.

However, items critical of government policy, such as the war in Iraq, could be posted.
Lip Service or will they listen. I think we need to try it out.

Another sly ruse of theirs.

I can hear them talking it through amongst themselves.....

...."Let's get the activists and public to complain directly to The PM at a number 10 website, that way we can see all their objections and plans and work around them at our leisure to form our responses, and,of course it takes their arguments out of the public eye and domain.

Crafty bustards eh.

I'm signing it for me and all of my family who are against the EU. Supposed to get an email confirmation, but not happening so far.

UKIP, BOO, Speakout, CIB and every other anti-EU cause including the Socialists, Commies, BNP etc should be getting their members to sign up to this petition and getting others also. We have to get this into the millions by Feb.

Come on people this is a chance to force them into addressing this issue, united for a change.

A distinct lack of names from this forum appearing.

Does anyone actually give a toss anymore? Or am I wasting my time here?

This petition is DIRECT and you can see how many people have signed.

More people are wanting to legalise canabis. Looks like people have given in to me.

All of the main anti-EU groups should be using this one. Focus on the first one, with the biggest numbers and get the word out.

If we can't manage to get a few million signed up, then it's game over.
