Default Will the UK reach its 300th birthday?

Scottish columnist at the Daily Telegraph wrote today about the approaching 300th anniversary of the United Kingdom:

I think Britain could be in big trouble.

Operation divide and conquer is going very well. Scotland and Wales have been conned into thinking they have independence of sorts, while having to take orders from the EU as normal. Now some people in England want the same con given to them. I can't quite work it out, but they do.

By the time the fake power is given to England, the EU's power over all of the ex-countries will be complete.

It looks pretty bleak as things stand.

...and the fact that the people who want an English Parliament are the same people who successfully campaigned to stop regionalisation means nothing at all does it!

Once England gets out of the UK it will be out of the EU within a year.
Labour will no longer have its Scottish and Welsh Block votes.
Then England can get along with forming an alternative alliance of free nations against the EU.

Britain is already divided.
The United Kingdom itself has been divided since it was formed.

I think you'll find that the government lost the North East referendum and it was the CEP which was the primary driving force against it. What was UKIP doing? Sitting on this forum saying that we have to accept the injustice of the English Question in the face of the EU onslaught?!

Rubbish.

UKIP had it's own campaign, but I wouldn't give UKIP the credit any more than the tiny CEP.

Neil Herron was the main man behind it.

Sadly it was a paper victory, as the assembly is still there. Fatty Prescott just said fine we'll have an unelected one.

If you are going to rewrite history at least pick a subject where you can capitilise on a bit of confusion. There is no confusion here.

An English Parliament could put an end to these unelected regional bodies.

Why would it? The same scum who have sold Britain out, would be running it. Just as the Assembly scum in Scotland and Wales still fully take their orders like good little boys, so would the English Regional Assembley.

I fully agree that parity is all important. I don't want to see parity where we all have ***** though.

I only want a few essential powers at the centre anyway, with the rest being pushed down to local level.

The Army for instance. Why would you want to split team GB up on that?

Taxation etc you may have a case for National parliaments, but until we get the current scum out, it makes no odds what pretend parliament they give us, we will still be in the EU and still driven by the EU.
