Your right most have not thought it through.
But i have but i will go into that later.
If we are to maintain the UK we must devolve economic powers otherwise Scotland and Wales can use English cash to offer their people more social benefits than we get here.
This would cause Fiscal iresponsibility and resentment.
We could ask all the Home Nations to give 5% of their GNP towards a Common Defence and Foreign Affairs budget which would be controled by Wesstminster.
Idealy we could even ask the likes of New Zealand, Canada and Australia to join a new Imperial Union.
If we are to maintain the United Kingdom and Britishness this would be the only way i would be interested in doing so.

Why isn't UKIP campaigning to get Southern Ireland back if you feel so strongly about a truly United Kingdom (of Great Britian & Ireland)
UKIP are commited to the Unoin not a return to the great British Empire.
Almost every thread you post on ED you ask this question.

UKIP supports withdrawal from the EU and does over 60% of the electorate.
The English Democrats supports something that the minority of the electorate support.
Whats the point of the Union if they isnt any chance of getting the Empire back?

To preserve it we would have to adopt the reforms ive suggested but more importantly we need a party that is capable of getting in place to do it.
None of the current parties out there are anywhere near capable of doing so.
Such a party would have to leave the word British or UK out of its title in order to appeal to all our people.

Quite a few. The first colony of ours (Bermuda) came under our control BEFORE the Act of Union as did the American colonies ie Virgina

So what would you call it? The National Party and then people could make of that what they personally idendify themselves as being ie English, Scottish, Welsh, Ulstermen or British in general?

I fully agree that parity is all important. I don't want to see parity where we all have s***e though.

I only want a few essential powers at the centre anyway, with the rest being pushed down to local level.

The Army for instance. Why would you want to split team GB up on that?

Taxation etc you may have a case for National parliaments, but until we get the current scum out, it makes no odds what pretend parliament they give us, we will still be in the EU and still driven by the EU.
Precisely. You can't devolve power downwards from central national government to local Parliaments if the central national Parliament doesn't have the power to devolve anyway. The fact is that something like 60% of our laws now come direct from Brussels and Westminster, the Scottish Parliament and the Welsh Assembly are just worthless, puppet parliaments until we get out of the EU.

Purely from a what-if perspective.......

Be interesting to see what would happen to the economies of Scotland, Wales and N Ireland, should we take our own parliament and then declaire ourselves independant of the Union, with the intention of leaving the EU - that could really force some issues....and focus some minds
