The powers currently held by the regions would be handed to the English Parliament.
The if elected by PR like in Scotland and Wales the English Parliament would be full of men of Patriotic will. I could see UKIP, the BNP and the EDP all getting in an English Parliament. That would help us all build up at a Westminster level where we can then get the UK out of the EU. Or it could help the push for English independence which would definatly get England out of the EU. |

Too many ifs and buts in there.

With PR before, the BNP have been very poor. People tend not to use them as a portest vote, if they think they might get some real power. UKIP might get a few, but tiny compared to the old school. It would acheive almost nothing. There is a lion and a mouse running towards us and you want us to use our last bullet on the mouse. Totally waste of time, total distraction and con as the final lock down of power is completed.

Yeah - an English Parliament will take too long to achieve - it'll be too late to then deal with the EU.
No harm in running it as a secondary aim along the big one: forcing the grip of the EU off our throats. UKIP's position on this in the 2005 manifesto was perfectly sensible - just needs fleshing out like all UKIP policy areas. |

The EDP would still get votes on issues like immigration and the EU. Obviously we need to flesh out our law and order polcies to appeal some more. |

In order of importance this is what our policies should be and which would most appeal to the public.
1. Immigration. 2. Crime. 3. Protecting British Jobs. 4. Education. 5. Health Care. 6. An English Parliament. 7. The EU. |

The EU effects all of the first 6. Get out of it, then you can address them all without being told what to do.
Before that however, you have to remove the traitors who are keeping us there. That is the number 1 objective.

Certainly, getting Britain out of the EU should be very near if not the top priority in Britain today. Britain is effectively a prisoner of the EU and all these puppet Parliaments and the one that passes for Westminster today are meaningless when the power is with the EU. It is only when Britain is free from the clutches of the EU that we can decide if we want devolved parliaments or not and what powers they should have.

You need to win their vote on other issues before we can tackle the EU. |
