Default 4% would vote UKIP in early general election

Quote:
No fewer than 13 per cent of YouGov's respondents say that they would vote for some party other than one of the main three at an early general election. Three per cent would back either the SNP or Plaid Cymru, four per cent Ukip, three per cent the BNP and two per cent the Greens.

Respect on 0.

Good.

They also seem to have forgotten the English Democrats, who we are told are growing and the future. How could they make such a huge blunder?

The EDP would be much better off not contesting Westminster seats.
We should go for Euro seats and Council seats only.

Europe seats?

If your support is not even big enough to be included in this report, what makes you think that you have any sort of chance when it comes to European Elections?

You need keen activists and more importantly people willing to vote for you, neither are character traits the ED's posses.

Yes I agree. Why don't you put that forward to your leaders?

Many who would like to vote for the BNP would vote for UKIP if we are standing and BNP aren't.

Let's hope that from the UKIP conference on, the leadership does not portray UKIP as only being in business to take votes from one of the main parties.

We've got to come across as a valid choice for those starting to see through Labour lies, and for those who might vote Lib Dem (thinking they are somehow moderates).

Scottish Prime Minister

SNP biggest party in Scotland

I would suggest that the 1.5% parliamentary poll the EDP is currently getting will improve.

We would be far better spending the thousands wasted on Parliamentary elections where we are very far from getting elected or even saving our deposit and instead spending it on local election campaigning and a range of party leaflets on various subjects.

We should only fight a Parliamentary election in an area we have several local councillors and a strong campaign team.
Then with our range of leaflets ive mentioned above we could descend on the seat with a mass of party activists and distribute them.
