Default Home office quietly drops hunt for missing foreign prisoners

The hunt for more than 1,000 foreign prisoners who were freed without being considered for deportation has been quietly wound down, even though hundreds are still on the run.

Quote:
The Home Office conceded yesterday that the manhunt was no longer a "priority", despite so many offenders remaining at large.

John Reid, soon after his appointment as Home Secretary, said he would "move heaven and earth" to find the prisoners.....
Just shows how much you can trust labour and this REID bloke to follow through and get anything completed or sorted out properly.
He has lost sight of 100's of foreign undesirable... but who cares

They close down the operation with no public apology or explanation - talk about treating parliament and everyone else with contempt.... and this from a potential blair replacement - No ThankYou !

This made the front page of the Torygraph.

But who in parliament, or elsewhere, and I can't for the life of me think where that 'elsewhere' might be, is coming out with the slogan...."Labour is pro foreign convicted criminals remaining on British soil"

And in the face of this evidence, how would they respond ?

Can anyone think of a party that might be well placed to make a fuss about this?
