Default 'Europe' Minister Hoon unfit for job says George Galloway MP

This is what George Galloway thinks of the europhile ‘Geoff’ Hoon MP – the man who holds the ridiculous overpaid job of ‘Europe’ Minister (a PR rôle which involves telling outrageous and shameful lies like how the UK benefits from the EU):

George Galloway, the Respect (anti-Iraq ‘war’) party MP (who was expelled from the Labour Party and who favours UK membership of the EU) said on his TalkSport radio programme at 9.54 pm on 17.9.2006 “Geoff Hoon MP (Europe Minister)- the man is no more than an ordinary town hall clerk, but has risen to the job of British Government Minister - a post for which he is not capable. For ten years he has been in the Labour Cabinet without having any ability to speak, write or give interviews. He strutted around like a puffed up Admiral as Defence Secretary and now keeps his place in the Blair Government despite calling last week for Blair to go. This shows how weak Blair is.”

* Some people have referred to Hoon as “Hoon the buffoon.”

Default Opportunist europhile Hoon

An editorial in the Daily Telegraph edition of 16.9.2006 said (brief extracts) "To dub the innocuous 'Geoff' Hoon a rat may seem harsh, but yesterday, he became the latest senior Labour figure to desert a floundering HMS Blair. Belatedly exacting revenge for his humiliating  - albeit RICHLY DESERVED - demotion  from the Cabinet last May. Mr. Hoon warned the Prime Minister that if he clings to office through next May's mid-term elections he risks damaging the party and it would be better for him to 'go out on a high' - i.e. as swiftly as possible. At the same time, Mr. Hoon has - surprise, surprise - hitched his wagon to Gordon Brown, Labour's likely (though by no means certain) new leader. Mr. Hoon provides fresh evidence that the only loyalty most politicians have is to their own careers  , a trait that helps explain public disenchantment with them."

I've always thought there was something sinister about Hoon. He appears to relish in obfuscation and the Iraq "war" has greatly enabled him to dissemble on a grand scale. He's never once seen how stupid his defence of WMD was.

Now he has the "et tu Brute" about him!

Don't confuse 'sinister' with '****'.
