Grey squirrels are from America, Britannist. They cause damage to many trees too, but I do like the little critters.
As for me using cheap imports, Brian, well the tank is a Pefecto Habitat and I also have some Rotostak, both British made. Back to Britannist, I heard a lot of scampering in the attic when I lived in Harefield, Middx, so went to inverstigate, thinking it was rats or squirrels. Turned out to be a blackbird which I managed to catch and set free. ![]() |

. I don't know how people 'round here know the scampering noise in roofs/ attics is squirrels - they must have done what you did and gone and taken a look.Good of you to set the blackbird free, anyway 8) . I've seen a squirrel around here from time to time - and also foxes which actually come out at about this time of night (they make a high pitch squealing noise which alerts me to go and look out of the window as they run past :shock: ). I am against fox hunting, but I am no leftie (the impression is sometimes given that people against fox hunting are all 'radicals' and 'demo mobs' - but this is not accurate). |

Rats, squirrels, foxes, all vermin. Fox hunting, along with hare coursing are fine pastimes. Next time I get a rat in my loft I will expect the pest officer to catch it then stroke it gently while administering an overdose of sedative. Just like they do to the little lambs you all enjoy on your plate. A case of out of sight, out of mind I think.

On the point of seals, if they eat too much fish in Canadian waters should we not be buying fish from other parts of the world then? It is only because of overfishing that seals and humans have been pit in conflict. No one buys Canadian fish, the seals have more food, everyone is happy.

[quote="Christina
So you think chasing a few rats around with a 4 be 2 will sort out a whole colony of rats do you? [/quote]No, but a couple of good Terrier's aided and abetted by a couple of Ferrets to 'bolt' the rats will! Rats are terrified of Ferrets! |
