The discredited europhile opportunist Blair has (allegedly) dyed his hair and is using a new contraption for putting make-up on, Tim Walker reported in the ‘gossip column’ of the Sunday Telegraph edition of 13.8.2006.
“Blair’s locks were coloured between his visit to St. Petersburg on 15.7.2006 and his trip to Washington D.C. 13 days later” wrote Walker, who added that Blair is using an Iwata – a device which is given to make-up artists to spray a thin layer of make-up over his face. This apparently “gives the impression of a flawless complexion” Tim Walker reported. Louise Beard, a make-up artist at Sky Television News (the only channel in the UK using the Iwata device) says “It’s the latest thing in make-up and the results are amazing. It’s great for the guys as it applies the make-up so subtly.” Good make-up in front of television cameras is now much sought after as preparations are made for the arrival of high definition television which shows images in much greater detail. Iwatas cost £450 each but freelance make-up artists use the ‘Silver Jet’ version which costs about £150, the Sunday Telegraph said. Tim Walker reported in 2005 that Blair was spending about £350 a year on getting ‘made up’ for appearances on television (the average British woman spends £195 on cosmetics in a year). Annie Spears, a make-up artist who has been awarded an Emmy for her work told the Sunday Telegraph “I made up Blair in the early 1990’s and what struck me about him was that, unlike (The Late) Robin Cook (former Foreign Secretary in the Blair Labour regime) and John Smith (the Late Labour Party leader), he (Blair) really seemed to enjoy it. Politicians in make-up is such an ‘old milliennium’ thing though – I think people see through all that these days, no matter how well it’s done.” |

I cannot say the same for Blair. He can plaster his face with make-up as much as he wants. He is a total fake. A liar. An opportunist. He (Blair) has helped give politicians a bad name and is responsible more than most politicians for 18 million people not voting for anyone at the last General Election. |

Yes. I don't think he (George W. Bush) is doing it (his religious commitment) just to get votes. He really means it. But with Blair I regard him as un-Christian. And his party too.
For a start, Christians are not supposed to tell lies. So that counts Blair out straight away. A real Christian would also have done much more to try to avoid military action before the Iraq 'invasion' went ahead in 2003. |
