Default New claims on Kennedy's drinking

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/5293988.stm

Quote:
The Liberal Democrats have been hit by fresh allegations about the scale of Charles Kennedy's alcoholism during and before his leadership.
A new biography of Mr Kennedy, serialised in the Times, claims he was suffering from a drink problem even before he became leader in 1999.

It also said his close aides knew about his drink problem.
Why are they digging this up again?

...because Kennedy was being prepared for a comeback becasue of the dreadful way things are going under the FibDems with Ming!

When a guy is down keep kicking so he doesn't get up! Obviously somebody somewhere is worried the Fib Dems will start getting support again!

...call me paranoid but do the media appear to issue smear stories about UKIP and UKIP MEPs whenever we start to do well in the polls?

At the moment 13 per cent of YouGov's respondents say that at any early general election they would vote BNP, Green, Ukip or for one of the nationalist parties or some other small party.
