I find it sad that good people, are all trying to fight the same battles on their own.

Just to confirm that

England's Parliamentary Party is not registered at the Electoral Commission.

They only manage to register E.P.P.

There is already an English Parliamentary Party.

Yes we have - don't ask

Yes, but often it is because they won't stomach a different position on a peripheral issue. So, instead of joining the 'offending' party to try and modify its policy, they remain aloof and retain their political virginity. As Nye Bevan once said words to the effect that, if the price of purity is powerlessness, it's a price which is often not worth paying.

I sometimes wonder whether there is not also an 'ego trip' element. Is it better to be a big fish in a very small pool - and publish photos of yerself outside No 10?

I agree with that to a degree.

Yet, you could say that about us choosing smaller parties, instead of "serious" ones.

Where do you draw the line. If you really don't believe in a party, or the people who lead it and you feel you have no chance of chaging it, where do you go from there?

All I can reply is to echo "If that is the case" you limit your options.

However, in this particular case, the EPP's fundamental position is the establishment of an English Parliament. Other issues, such as capital punishment, however important in their own right, are peripheral if you believe that the current political situation does not provide for any issue to be properly disposed of never mind just this one!

In making a peripheral issue or issues the determining factor(s) for joining or coalescing with others, effectively they become predominant, not the core objective.

Your other point about individuals leading other parties can be much more intractable, if you really do not have any confidence in them or their integrity but, again in this case, is this truly so?

I have no idea. I have seen many people leave UKIP because of leadership.

I have seen less leave (indeed none personally) on policy alone.

Thus I would bet it was the former, rather than the latter that "drove" them out.
