I made this suggestion last May to UKIP Press Office and four NEC members following my letters in several newspapers in South West. Other posts on other threads covered this.
The idea was also circulated throughout UKIP South West in May. One of my posts resulted in Clive Page phoning me on 19July suggesting I contact Stuart Gulleford regarding including on ukip.org, which I did the same day. Stuart referred it to DCB for consideration and a couple days later it was on DCB's web site  Still not on, to my knowledge, ukip.org  |

Couple of points.
The party has made an officail submission through the offices of the party leader. This was an encouragement for us to do stuff as individuals as the website calls for individual submissions. Independent UKIP. I take your point about the spread of distribution. However by sending it out to the RO's and the press officers in the regions I was hoping that they would have their own lists that they could send out to. For me to try to create a database big enough to cover all bases would be a titanic job, and to be frank, not one that I have the time to do. Sorry but I have to cut my cloth. That being said feel free to send it out to the four winds. After all we cannot allow the current crop of discredited parties to dig even furtyher into the pockets of the British people. Somebody has to stand up for them. I hope that, whilst accepting the caveats in this thread, you feelk that this sort of initiative is something that you approve of. |

Here are some thoughts under the heading Publicly funded political parties . . . another step along the road to dictatorship?:
http://englishdemocrats.org.uk/news.php You might find one or two useful suggestions there, such as separate accounting and extending Sched 1 of the FOI Act 2000 to include information about the expenditure of such funding. Another might be allowing small parties with less than a specified revenue income (say £1 million pa?) to be exempt from the capping of donations from individual donors. |
