Hi Folks,
Recieved this e-mail from my sister, worth watching on Channel 4. Last winter,Julie Kosmala,a mother of a schoolgirl who had started her new term at secondary school, took issue with the headmaster over the leaflet the girl brought home; Which said that the nurse will be available each week to issue U cards to the girls( Urgent! morning after pills or abortion referrals,) and C cards for boys ( up to 10 free condoms a week) The mother pointed out that the child was only 11, and so being underaged, he must have given the leaflet to the wrong year. No. He said that it was a government initiative( with money going to the schools that take it up; as we find out!) She said over my dead body! I don't give my permission. He said he didn't need it, she had no say in it. So mother went to the papers and it hit the headlines. She also contacted her local branch of SPUC Bath and Wansdyke, who gave support in many ways, so that when she was contacted by Channel 4; who were producing a documentary on Underage Pregnancies, asking if she was doing any demonstrations, she was able to say"yes", and get a team of sympathizers who swiftly produced petitions and leaflets, and who were filmed by Channel 4 outside the Bath Pump Rooms. Davina McCall is going to present the programme; she came to Bath with the Channel 4 Team and spent time interviewing Julie at the home of the Bath and Wansdyke SPUC Chairman Gail Mills, who was able to witness the interview and filming. The Team then left the home and drove to the Bath School, Haysfield Girls, which has for six or seven years been the first in the area to take up this government initiative. The Team proceeded to talk to and film children during a "lesson" in which the children had a race to put condoms on plastic models. In other schools that activity is in a mixed group! These same children, who had to get signed permission from parents to be filmed by Channel 4 as they were under eighteen! but who can get a drug which incidentally, has not been tested for the effects on under 16's and with a warning on the packaging,( which has since been removed by the manufacturers,) of the dangers to under 16 year olds and not to prescribe without a Doctors's permission. We have been aware of Nurses standing outside schools, which do not see fit to put their pupils out of parental perimeters, distributing the drug with glasses of water in their hands, No Doctor in sight there then; Nor a recording of such a strong hormonal steroid being given to the underage patient. We have also been aware of Nurses being offered financial incentives to increase the Abortion figures. Some of there subjects will be touched upon in the Channel 4 programme which will be shown on Monday Tuesday and Wednesday Morning of this coming week 20th-21st-22nd at 10-20 AM.!!! The interview with Julie we are told, will be seen on Wednesday morning. From G. Mills. Chairman of Bath & Wansdyke Branch SPUC Four Winds, Fosse Lane, Dunkerton, Bath.BA2 8BY 01225 833224 |
