Veritas Burton branch resign en masse

One of the few remaining Veritas branches, Burton, has been folded completely today, I am informed, after all of the members there resigned.

Who do they have left? I see alot of thier x members are joining the new party. If that is true their membership will increase but i cant see them doing anything else. There is point jumping from one failed project to another
