The guy has clearly lost the plot. I believe he should be in prison, but I now conceed that should be one for the criminally insane.

How does this Bush-lite think this will go down in the Muslim world? We have already seen the reaction to Bush telling us how God made him do it.

The cuckoos are out early this year.

My apologies to Oliver but hard to do this thread without mentioning the 'G' word.

It made headline news today on the bbc website.
Quote:
The prime minister told ITV1's Parkinson chat show: "If you believe in God (the judgement) is made by God."

Reg Keys, whose son was killed in Iraq, said Mr Blair was "using God as a get-out for total strategic failure" and his comments were "abhorrent".

Mr Keys' son, Lance Corporal Tom Keys, was one of six Red Caps killed by an Iraqi mob in Majar Al-Kabir in June 2003.

Mr Keys, the founder of campaign group Military Families Against The War, said going to war had been a "catastrophic political blunder".

Are we really seeing over 100 coffins coming back because God told him to go to war?

He accused Mr Blair of "jumping on the same bandwagon" as US President George W Bush, who has claimed that he decided to invade Iraq because he was on a "mission from God".

Rose Gentle, whose son Gordon was killed in Basra in 2004, said: "A good Christian wouldn't be for this war.

"I'm actually quite disgusted by the comments. It's a joke."

As a "believer", it is Blair who has taken Gods name in vain.

"In the end, there is a judgement that, I think if you have faith about these things, you realise that judgement is made by other people... and if you believe in God, it's made by God as well," Mr Blair said.
All that the dear leader is saying here is that a judgement is made by;

1) The wider world, other folks, public opinion ( that is beyond doubt).

and also,

2) `im upstairs ( you will agree, if, like me, you are a believer).

It did take me a fair few minutes to work that out as Blair is hardly a good speaker, speaks alot in the passive and in a sort of "meta" narrative. I agree Mill. 3. Also, what is Blair`s real opinion of "the people" if he had to do what he thought right supported by bull?Sadly we may not get another major poll to give him the thumbs down.

Tom are you saying that T Blair is a powerless puppet predestined by God to take us to war without ability to think for himself :?:

A perfect example that tells us all he couldn't care less about our Military, our People and Country. Says quite a bit about the Labour Party that they allow him to say such things. He is now the worst thing this Country has ever had at the helm,if we were attacked he would definately run away.

Honest, Officer, it's the truth. I had no money to buy food, so I prayed to God, and he told me to mug the old lady walking down the street.

What I want to know is, when will God be delivering his verdict on Blair, and what will happen if he is found to have sinned?
