They are going to have to get used to the bitter taste of defeat for some time. They have been well and truly demolished of late.

Labour seems to be the net benefactor.

...I would have said it was the Tories.

They're far more likely to benefit from the demise of the Lib Dems - don't you think?

Nope, Labour are more likely to benefit from the larger centre-left membership of the Lib Dems.

That doesn't make sense.

Labour already has a majority.

If you consider the 3-way seats and the seats where the Lib-Dems have a majority (mostly rural seats which the Cons could hope to win) surely the Cons would hope to benefit most.

Am I wrong?

Check the latest polls. Tories have move very little, Fib Dems are tanking and Labour increasing!
