I do get worried that sometimes we can be too critical. Certainly authors of children's books of yesteryear e.g lewis carroll, j.m.barrie would almost certainly be arrested today for inappropriate conduct.
It is absurd that a 15 year old boy who has sex with his 15 year old girlfriend would end up on the sex offenders register.
The headmaster of my primary school who was a brilliant teacher who liked the children in the school ,was always hugging them and give them sweets if they did well would certainly be banned from teaching today. Yet the success rate of my little village school in getting pupils past the 11 plus was consistently about 85%. Nobody had a bad word to say about him, it was appreciated and understood he had an unorthodox approach at times but what the hell all of us benefitted.

There has to be zero tolerance about ANY sex offender being allowed to work with children! No sex offender can ever be"cured" and it is only the naive do-gooders who think they can be. Sex offenders are Like alcoholics, once one always one!

With reference to the statement below.

Would the girl be put on the register as well ?
