That is why it's a good idea to stand in these areas, where it seems no one bothers. 120 votes and they can now say they have a councilor!

That means local paper coverage etc.

UKIP have a few like that, but we could get a lot more.

Not quite sure what town/parish councils do these days. A friend who was nominated said it was a paper mill as she has to wade through masses of printed matter. In the old days, there were lots of independents.
