I agree. Kilroy's speech was brilliant and left Barroso (EU Commission President) and others red-faced. What a great and humorous orator. The speech is surely the best anti-EU speech yet delivered in Brussels.
What? It was ****. Not a scrap on anything given by Farage who doesn't have to resport to screaming and shouting, but on presence and facts. Even Roger Helmer is better than Kilroy. (budge up, budge up)

No. it doesn't! What planet are you on? Some orange man gets in a strop and starts up his own party and, surprise surprise, it doesn't work out. And you think that's more important than millions of people in national referendums telling the corrupt EU that they are not happy? Odd, odd...

Kilroy could have been an infiltrator working for Blair for the destruction of the anti-EU movement. But hardly likely given the bizarre sequence of events, and the extraordinary acting skill that would have been required. He meant well but is head-strong.

When I said that his 1-minute harangue was a political classic, I didn't mean it was the best speech ever (or even in the EU Parliament). I agree that Farage is better at conventional political speeches (or even Knapman - I thought that at the Bristol conference on the Saturday when all three could be heard close together), but I have had to admire Kilroy's personal, combative, blunt style.

Kilroy's 1-minute harangue was a classic because he broke the rules of "how things should be done". We need that at times.

In UKIP he could simply have bided his time, chivied things up behind the scenes, really helped the anti-EU cause.
Spot on! That's exactly what he should have done. Interestingly, he's now off the front page of the Veritas website. Took over 24 hours to do that!

Another interesting point. Talk Veritas forum has locked all posts about Kilroy and the leadership. No straight talking there!

As "well meaning and good-natured" as folk can be, this is beyond "microscopic" now. I say this with no malice. RKS - ill- judged in his approach, good intentioned.

Post-election, the fragmentation here is acute.
