RKS is one person who has told the truth about the European project and it was his membership of UKIP that boosted its popularity in the European elections. OK, he might come across as arrogant, but he's not afraid to say it as it is and that is rare in politics. He was right to challenge the leadership of UKIP but I think where he was wrong was in leaving when he found he could not achieve his goal in the short term. He should have stayed and shown patience. His departure is UKIP's loss. His involvement in the argument is essential in ensuring that GB stays British...!

Time .
Look at what Blair and Co have given/signed away in the last 7 years. How much more in the next 5? For a party that is always telling us about the loss of our country they sure have a lack of urgency about almost anything they do. Be honest. What have they achieved since the EU elections in terms of rallying the voters? Can anyone detect the slightest indication of urgency. |

Urgency shouldn't turn INTO phpbb_panic though!
However, I agree, urgency does seem to be lacking on a number of levels. I get very frustrated some days, when I am itching to do something constructive, but there is no party machinery driving a co-ordinated attack. I believe some local branches are very good at filling the void, but a lot of them are not. I can print out leaflets and go on a one man mission, but this really isn't what the country needs. I wonder if I am being impatient though. The Labour party have not put a single leaflet through my door and I have seen no sign of them on a local level. They have not released their manifesto and all they have done so far is react to Tory posturing. I am still concerned they may be pulling a fast one, with an election in 2006. The Lib Dems are pretty strong in my area. They only realy focus on the Tories as no-one else can win here according to them. They have put a single leaflet through my door, but no manifesto and not a single sign up which is less than UKIP! The Tories have put 2 leaflets through the door, no manifesto, but lots of policy and and news releases so far. They will look mighty stupid, if it is delayed until 2006! They are stuggling to get candidates to even fight. No Manifesto as such yet, but they are dribbling out their policies, even if they are looking desperate and poor. So in the scheme of things are UKIP that bad? Are they waiting for the real date before unleashing hell? I don't know, I hope this is all a carefuly co-ordinated effort to make sure we put on a big burst at the right time. A bit like we did in the Euro elections. Us foot soldiers need something though, as I can see there is a real thrist for information and direction. If, as some suspect, there is no big battle plan and the local branches are on their own. Then obviously I will join in the anger! For now I am going to keep doing my best, and hope that there are some big announcements in the run up to the election! I'm not sure what else I can do as a single member now.

The big three parties don't have to make themselves know. They have the media stitched up in a way.
The Government makes its own propagand as it goes along eg prescott's announcement about affordable housing or announcing an increase in benefits etc The media then beats a path to whomever the spokesman is for the other two. They get all that without even trying. Who are UKIP's spokesmen ready with a pithy comment and a reiteration of UKIP's stance on any given topic? Publicity, Publicity, Publicity. Alas, I fear that window of opportunity is now closed. But full credit to yourself for perseverence. Let's hope you are rewarded. |

I didn't!
There is more than one moderator here. Ask them! You really shouldn't jump to conclusions. I always tell people why I remove their posts. As I said before though, I don't moderate this part at all. Just make comments like everyone else.

I'm also a moderator in this section of the board, but I'm extremely lazy and haven't deleted any posts or comments for ages. I will if pressed, though!
( trying unsuccessfully to look tough and alert). |
