Default Labour plans £1m New Year poster blitz

Telegraph
Quote:
will start the New Year with a nationwide advertising campaign as Tony Blair keeps open the option of an early general election.

The two-week campaign is believed to be costing almost £1 million and to involve 1,950 posters featuring the slogan: Britain is Working - Don't Let the Tories Wreck It Again. It is the second sign this week that the party is moving INTO phpbb_full election mode.

On Monday, Alan Milburn, the party's election supremo, set out Labour's broad election strategy even though Mr Blair can wait another 18 months before going to the country.

May 5 next year is the expected date of the next election but news of Labour's advertising offensive will fuel speculation among many Labour MPs that the Prime Minister may call a surprise election for March or April.

In a sign that the Tories are also gearing up for the fight, the party announced that it would be launching a direct mail campaign in the New Year.

That site hasn't added any of the new messages to the list for a while. Everything that was negative was deleted anyway! There is a site where people wanted Tony to be president for the States. All the Brits were posting message such as "take the arsehole" etc. They have now stopped it because they were getting so much hate messages for Blair, and all of them from Britain!
