Default Clarke is getting mauled

The debate on ID cards is a one-sided farce. Clarke has no argument, and he is being made to look silly. At least Blunkett would have had a bit of a go back!

If the MP's vote for this after this pathetic display, we will all know that it is all a farce, and we might as well just appoint Blair as dictator proper and let him do whatever he wants.

Kate Howey should join UKIP. She is against the EU and has now come out against ID cards too.

How can anyone still support a party, when these kind of fundamental issues are at stake?

Oh I forgot, self-preservation!

Self interest prevails in Parliament though, MPs voted by 385 votes to 93 in favour of the scheme.

It is interesting to note that misuse by any official will bring a 2 year jail sentence. Rather clearly demonstrating that it is an evil system designed for misuse, but only in official hands!

Default Neck and Neck

Davis looked really uncomfortable spouting on about ID cards. Did I see teeth marks on his neck?

Charles Clarke, the new Home Secretary, lashed out yesterday at the "Luddite" opponents of identity cards for spreading scare stories as he mounted a vigorous defence of the controversial legislation.
What a master statesman Clarke is. If a mass of people disagree with you, that ID cards are not any use, and the bad far outweighs the good, then riddicule and abuse them INTO phpbb_submission. Sorry but all you will get from me by taking that attitude is the same back, you fat, big eared **** licker.

I'm not even against technology at all, so he hasn't even got his abuse right!

I am pleased to see that Ashford (Kent) MP Damien Green (Cons.) voted against the ID cards.

Woking Conservative career merchant and yes-man, Humphrey Malins, voted a hearty yay to ID cards.

I wrote him a letter and he gave me the party line ended it with the line that the election was a straight fight between the Conservatives and Labour. Amazing arogance and making me more determined to help defeat him in anyway I can!

Only one thing wrong with that - Conservatives and Labour ain't fighting - they appear to agree on all major issues.
