News about the serious organised crime agency (Soca)

Quote:
Soca staff will also not swear allegiance to the Queen.

Mrs Berry said: "Since the police service began, officers have sworn an allegiance to the Crown - an oath that my members take very seriously.

"But the government seems obsessed in taking this away, and with it the political independence to uphold the law impartially."
Mrs Berry is chairman of the police federation.

I'm not a big Royalty fan to be honest, but the UK is not a republic, so they should follow the normal rules and swear allegiance to the Queen. If not, then as subjects of the queen, we won't have to recognise this organisation.

It's another crappy Labour scheme that is all for headlines, and not really needed anyway. UKIP should promise to scrap it.

Crappy, yes, scary also.
These guys will be civilians.
In time they could very well become similar to America's CIA which appears to do whatever it likes without having to account for its actions.

You know - it really is every day now.
Every bloody day a new piece of legislation.
And every damn piece either erodes or puts more limits on our freedom, our heritage and our democracy.

And no-one seems able to stop it.

It's a freakin' nightmare of a rollercoaster and no members of our government will make a noise.

Can it be they all support this stuff?
I do not think so.
So of what are they so frightened that they do not loudly and strongly object?

Never, in the whole history of our country, have so many done so little to preserve our freedom when our freedom is under attack.

What is scary is - he could just get away with this.

Unless it is brought to the public's attention big time.
