LONDON and Brussels are to blame for most of the red tape afflicting businesses, a Scottish Executive report has claimed.
Ministers said the findings backed up the gripes of Scots businessmen and pledged to keep the Executive’s own red tape to a minimum.
The findings came in the first annual report on the regulatory impact in Scotland of various policy initiatives.
Of 30 regulatory impact assessments, only 11 related to Scottish initiatives and the rest came from the EU, the report said.

In a separate exercise, out of 182 regulatory assessments carried out at Westminster level, 30 dealt with EU initiatives and the rest with London initiatives.

Another good reason for Scots to vote UKIP. EU and Labour inspired regulations would be slashed by a UKIP government! Indeed, there would be zero EU regulations to worry about over time!
