The Tories seem to have gone totally Blair-native and done an about face.
One more weapon in the UKIP armoury! http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/4093583.stm Quote:

Yeap. This could cause floods of defections, the eurosceptics are hanging on in there but this could be the straw that breaks the camels back.

I also fail to see how this fits in with the Tory cost cutting promises. |

This stinks. It now looks like the Tories are destroying themselves on purpose! What is their game?
As for floods of defections, maybe the normal membership will, but I would bet a whole pack of wagon wheels, that none of it's M.P's show the courage of their convictions. The main parties stink, they are only interested in self-preservation, and that means sucking up to the EU, and keeping the sheeple down. Anyone who votes for them desreves to be treated like a piece of cattle, because thats what you are to them!

They should be outraged, indeed it should be the final straw.
You must be able to see that the leaders of the Tory party are not listening to the membership. Like the other main parties they have become fat and corrupt! Britain needs a change, and it needs a change soon!

Howard was in favour of ID cards when Home secretary so if he came out against them he would look like a political oportunist and ripped apart every time Blair stands up in the commons for PMQs etc, although the shadow cabinet disagrees, pragmatically Howard is the key player at the moment and if we win we can always screw these proposals up and chuck them in the bin, 2008 or so will be a Tory win. It really depends if at a meeting a shadow cabinet majority should carry a motion or if the leader leads and the shadow cabinet follows. I think the leader leads and as we havent had any resignations yet Howard seems to have convinced people to fall in behind him. |
