I suggest RKS could very well become leader by Christmas.
I'm just wondering what name he will give his new party.

I am also wondering if he succeeds in destroying ... no, he couldn't destroy the UKIP ... lets say if he succeeds in making the UKIP ineffective for this election - will he appear on Blair's honours list?

I have often wondered if RKS is Blair's Trojan Horse.

It is about time this possibility came out in the open and is addressed.

I've just had an awful vision of Blair, Prescott, Blunkett et al climbing out of the bowels of RKS. More like 'Alien' than 'Troy'!

Seriously, no - he not a Trojan Horse. I doubt if there will be any election before Christmas, since

Quote:
a UKIP spokesman said that would be impossible under the party's constitution, which requires 70 days before any leadership ballot can take place

You miss my point.

RKS can become leader by Christmas - plenty of time to create his own party in order to be so.

If he created his own party he wouldn't need an election

I see no mention of an election (in this thread) - just a reference to becoming a leader.

 Point of order! You cross posted my quote from another thread - which refers to the Guardian article and states:-

Quote:
Speaking on Any Questions? he said he hoped to be elected leader before Christmas. A Ukip spokesman later said this would be impossible, because 70 days' notice was required for an election.
Anyway, we'll see what happens. I can't see RKS leaving just now.

Guilty as charged.

Another point of order - the topic is "Blair's Trojan Horse?" - not a leadership contest.

Touché ?

Agreed. Anyway, not a trojan horse, although I can understand why some may think so (but not a view I share).

I don't share that view - I will not reject it either.

Politics is a dirty game at times and when the stakes are high all things are possible.

Perhaps 'tis just that I like conspiracy theories. Assuming they are just theories, of course ...

I don't think RKS is a Trojan, if you look at his history, he has always been against the EU.
