Default PM blames 'negative' parents

http://news.scotsman.com/politics.cfm?id=1390092004

Quote:
TONY Blair blamed the poor performance of many pupils on a lack of aspiration among their parents.

In a keynote speech in Edinburgh yesterday, the Prime Minister accused families who were unaware of the importance of qualifications of holding back their offspring.
Way to patronise your electorate, you smarmy arogant pratt.

Quote:
"There remains an immense challenge to transform the culture of aspirations ... not least among parents who simply do not realise the importance to their children of achievement and qualifications," the Prime Minister added.
Nothing to do with your wretched governments hatchet job on Britain then. Sure there are som bad parents out there, but to make such sweeping generalisations is breathtaking

Quote:
"People don’t want a minimalist state, but nor do they want the old centralised system" he said. "Instead, they want the state to empower them."
He is so arrogant with his statements now. Always assuming what we want, without actualy knowing. I certainly want the smallest state possible!

I voted for this **** in 1997, one of my worst mistakes ever. How could anyone look at themself in the mirror by voting for him again in 2005?

Unfortunately there is some truth to that statement.

The encouragement to seek self-empowerment is what is needed.

The sheeple want to be spoon-fed and to be told what to do.
This way, when things go wrong they have someone to blame.
People should be encouraged to make their own choices and recognise they must take responsibility for the consequences of their choices.

To allow others to make their choices for them is an abdication of personal resonsibility.

"Please Miss - he made me do it" should not be an option.
