Default Tory plan to curb car tax dodgers

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/newspap...368118,00.html
Quote:
A CONSERVATIVE government would save £100m a year and cut the number of uninsured drivers on the road by handing over the issuing of tax discs to insurance companies, writes David Smith.

The proposal, one of a number published today, brings the total savings identified by the Tories to nearly £24 billion, above the £21.5 billion Gordon Brown has said he will introduce.

Under the proposal for tax discs — put up by David James, the corporate troubleshooter who is to carry out an efficiency review for the party — most of the functions of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency in Swansea would be outsourced.
The Tories have brought out yet another plan. I bet that they actually have somewhere in the region of 50 such plans, to release 2 per week until the general election.

We should be making some kind of announcement every week too!

I agree, this trickle feed method is going to hit the right notes with people all the time. The cumulative effect would be great for us.

The Tories will benefit a bit, but as they are unelectable in anywhere but the south of England, it still won't get them breathing again. All it needs is for the South to realise they are backing a dead horse, and they will start switching in great numbers.

UKIP need to get it's message out their loud and clear. If it does and the people see through the lies of people Like Richard Corbett, then we will start taking votes form ALL the "main" parties.
