Default The Abolition of Freedom Act 2009

    http://www.modernliberty.net/downloa...of_freedom.pdf

One of the problems with the erosion of liberty in Britain over the last
decade was that the public failed to pay attention to what was happening in
Parliament. Laws that fundamentally challenged our traditions of rights and liberty
and flew in the face of the Human Rights Act (“HRA”) were passed with relatively
little debate. Few grasped the impact they would have on our society and Ministers
were able to brush aside protests with assurances that their desire to protect us was
equal to their respect for civil liberties.
The difficulty campaigners faced was to press home the argument about the
scale of the loss. An account was needed to show that the legislative programme,
which swept away centuries old rights and transferred so much power from the
individual to the state, actually existed. Now we have that evidence and the
Convention on Modern Liberty can demonstrate with confidence what Britain has
lost and discuss how this crisis of liberty took root in one of the world’s oldest
democracies and what to do about it.
This report by the UCL Student Human Rights Programme (“UCLSHRP”)

is a concise and approachable inventory of the loss.

    Read it and weep.

Civil Liberties have been eroded for decades. Anyone with their eyes open can see this, going back to the 1911 Official Secrets Act, telephone tapping, stuff against CND in the early 1960s, the 1984 Miners' Strike, the Economic League, the onward march of the CCTV cameras, the stuff Thatcher did in the 1980s etc etc etc etc etc etc .

Lots of people have been aware of this, and have tried to stop it, but the number of people objecting has been exceedingly small compared with the vast bulk of the apathetic who have done nothing. The question really comes round to this: Do people really deserve to be free?

The covert Communists within the country's Civil Services are the one's who are removing liberty and freedom, this department is awash with them and has never really been purged in a way that will give us our rightfull access to a free and open society. We are not doomed, but we must take a hold of such things as this once we have an honest government.

If the Youth Parliament announced that it respected, abided by, and would uphold the lawful Rights of the electorate of this nation I would recommend everyone to vote for them. Since the adults are a bunch of morons who can read only their bank balances.
