As I've said before this is not just about "copyright/piracy" - though media sales are slumping (suprise suprise though people have always copied material and sales were not affected before).

It's very simple, since the internet is the only medium of "neutrality", freedom of information and speech, then guess what, the EU and all obliging pro-EU countries want to shut it down.

The "three strikes" ploy they point to, may be to do with file sharing initially, but it will be selectively enforced to stop people they don't like spreading the truth far and wide, but also to stop people uploading information the government doesn't want people to have access to !

File sharing is the first front - once the precedent is set they will move onto (any) other reasons to stop people from using to internet to accessing anything except www.corporatenewsandmoney.com
