Default The war on motorists continues

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/liv...n_page_id=1770

Quote:
Millions of motorists face being sent automated tickets through the post if they are caught on cameras trained on parking bays, the Government revealed today.
Thousands of spies in the sky will remove the need for traffic wardens or parking attendants to physically slap a ticket on a windscreen.
Instead, drivers who overstay will simply have their car photographed and will receive their fine through the post - in the same way as getting a speed camera endorsement.
At present, only drivers in London can be penalised in this way if they are caught on camera - or even spotted "driving away" by a parking attendant. But new regulations placed before Parliament yesterday mean that from next March councils across England and Wales will be allowed to follow suit.
Pack in more people, charge more for parking, fine people for not paying.

What a wheeze.

They are rapidly turning Britain into a place that isn't worth living in.

Cameras need one thing, unimpeded views, they eyes of the regime cannot work with say, a plastic bag over the camera, dab of paint on lens etc.

With the right type of advertising, sales of paintball guns should go through the roof!

Just to be clear about this.
Are you suggesting that it is OK for motorists to park and fail to pay the parking fee?
Then winge about being fined for failing to pay that fee?

I'm suggesting the odds are being stacked against the motorist. Especially the poor.

Too many people, not enough space.

1) They are being forced into unbearable conditions caused by overpopulation and lack of infrastructure. This means too many people, competing for too little resource. E.G. Spiraling costs, overcrowded roads, lack of parking spaces (especially ones that aren't covered by the already massive amount of tax motorists pay).

2) Follow this up with an obsession to punish, fine, control and generally **** the motorist off, using the unberable situation that has been created as an excuse.

Enough is enough. Instead of cramming more chickens into the pen, then cutting their beaks off and tying their legs together to stop them pecking each other to death.

The people supposedly representing us need to take into account what people actually want and will make peoples lives better.

Less immigration, less punishment focused methods and less singling out of the motorist for negative attention would be a start.

To all governments but particularly one as nasty as the incumbent the motorist is a cash cow and revenue stream to be maximised at every opportunity after all our leaders must have someone else's money to spend and also reward themselves and their cronies to the max
