Default Campaign over for Harriet the cow

http://www.democracyforum.co.uk/post...=newtopic&f=14

The latest, just been on the BBC 1 News, says today 8 policemen turned up, plus a van with its number blacked out, vets etc. The local people thought there was a major criminal investigation going on. This was to kill Harriet, the pet cow who happened to eat food from the same source as a cow with BSE.

The local MP has taken up the challenge to Ben Bradshaw. This is a pet cow, raised as a pet by the farmers children.

Like Foot & Mouth, no chances are taken. Rather sensible I say.

Given how many innocent animals where slaughtered in the foot and mouth epidemic looks more like overkill to me.
Still in a country where you can be shot dead for being a Brazilian electrician we should be grateful it was only a cow

Cherie Blair and her driver were cruising along a country road one
evening when an ancient cow loomed in front of the car.

The driver tried to avoid it but couldn't -- the aged bovine was struck and killed.

Cherie told her driver to go up to the farmhouse and explain to the
owners what had happened. She stayed in the car making phone calls to Tony.

About an hour later the driver staggered back to the car with his
clothes in disarray. He was holding a half-empty bottle of expensive
wine in one hand, a rare, huge cigar in the other, and was smiling
happily, smeared with lipstick.

"What happened to you," asked Cherie ?

"Well," the driver replied, "the farmer gave me the cigar, his wife gave me the wine, and their beautiful twin daughters made mad passionate love to me "

"My God, what did you tell them?" asked Cherie.

The driver replied, "I just stepped inside the door and said, I'm Cherie
Blair's driver and I've just killed the old cow.
The rest happened so fast I couldn't stop it." !!

Not if you were the cow!

As for the Foot and Mouth, overkill, I don't think in the governments eyes it was overkill, I think they and Brussels saw it as a golden opportunity to wipe out Britain's ability to feed itself making it totally reliant on other EU Countries, no better way of bringing a Country to it's knees. Two reasons why I believe this,(a) in1968 during the last major foot and mouth outbreak, (Pre Traitor Heath and the EU) I don't remember mass culling to the extent that it nearly wiped out whole National Herd to get the outbreak under control! (b) What was the very first thing "Nick Brown" our Minister for agriculture do when BSE was confirmed in our Country :?: He flew to BRUSSELS to get his orders!

Cows are responsible for nearly a quarter of CO2 emissions and thus a global warming hazard. I say let's get behind clippo and slaughter Harriet the Cow.

Bit more from Christopher Booker about the fate of Harriet the cow makes interesting reading if you've recently tried to get a policeman out to you
