Default Proof positive that Britain is a nation of sheep like morons

http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk_news/st...553744,00.html

Quote:
Almost three-quarters of the public believe that it is right to give up civil liberties to improve our security against terrorist attacks.
A Guardian/ICM poll published today shows that 73% of respondents back the trade-off, with only 17% rejecting it outright. The results provide evidence of public support for Tony Blair's anti-terrorist reforms which he unveiled before leaving on his summer holiday earlier this month.
Go and check out the full poll.

The British people love Big Brother. They would happily all herd INTO phpbb_a big open prison if they were told it will keep them safe!

I fear you are right my friend.
Have we become institutionalized or is the human animal naturally so stupid?

And this is why it isn't worth saving.

Notice also that UKIP had one (ONE!) person who said that they would vote for them.

Sobering for anyone who thinks that we are on the right track currently?

I have to admit, it's stuff like this that makes me want to pack up and leave. All people want to do is keep watching Big Brother, while stuffing their faces with pizza and relying on their masters to keep them safe and happy.

Animal farm (George Orwell) had it spot on.

Indeed George Orwell had human nature down pretty much to the letter.

From my general observations, I'd say that 90%+ of people can't see a problem unless it's their immediate, direct problem.

Nobody gives a monkey's unless it's happening to them. By which time, of course, it's usually too late to take preventative measures.

But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked

I often wonder about polls. I am the wrong side of sixty but have never, ever been stopped in the street, or phoned to asked my opinion on anything. I often wonder whether the large % of people who always seem to agree with whatever the pollster asks. actually exist!

I've been visited (last but one GE) and phoned (this last GE). The questions are sometimes so loaded that you can only state how much you agree with something (i.e. agree a little -> agree a lot) and not state how much you think whatever it is is a crock.

The fact that the British sheeple continue to vote for parties that support membership of the EU proves that they are indeed a pack of morons. The vote should be restricted to property-owners above a certain IQ level.

However, the problem with the West today is not that there is too little freedom but, on the contrary, that the wrong sort of people have too much freedom.

What we should be pushing is more freedom for small businessmen, drivers and responsible parents. Less freedom for unmarried mothers, teenage yobs, ethnics who don't respect the British way of life and of course the Gay/Lesbian mob who need to be kicked back INTO phpbb_their scabrous closet.

A recent superb statement by Norman Tebbit on Western depravity and the moral bankruptcy of liberalism proves that this courageous statesman speaks for Britain more than any politician since Enoch Powell.

Norman's excellent 'Cricket Test' should be extended to become a 'Tebbit Test'. If you don't agree with Tebbit's views on race and morality you are obviously not a patriotic Briton.
